Welcome to Yasuko Riggs’ artwork Web site! I am an artist and a Web Page Designer. Drawing and painting have been my hobbies since childhood in Japan. It gives me pleasure to look at refined drawings and beautiful paintings on any ordinary household items such as dishes, coffee cups, bedding, and carpets.

I try to keep up with art trends. I grow flowers in my garden and take pictures of these flowers. When I go for a walk, I carry a small digital camera to photograph beautiful or interesting scenery and reproduce them in my computer or paint them in different media, except oil painting.

I have sorted my paintings and photos by the medium and have created links to view other pages to show my sample pieces and their sizes. Some larger paintings already framed and sealed are not illustrated on this Web site. If you find one or more that you like, please let me know, via e-mail, which one you are interested in buying by identifying where it is illustrated on this Web site (e.g., Watercolor Web Page, Fall Leaves 2, size 15"x12.5"). I can mail my painting with or without its current frame.

If you are a licensing agent, I would like to hear from you, too. It would be great if some of my samples could be used as greeting cards, on plates, bed covers, on other household items, or as illustrations.

I enjoy learning new computer technologies. I learned how to create and design this Web site and acquired a certification as Web Page Designer. Yasuko Riggs' Bio Sketch:

Born Japanese. B.A. from Tokyo U. of Foreign Studies, Tokyo. Married and moved from Tokyo to Seattle, WA. Accompanied spouse to overseas assignments in U.S. Foreign Service. Worked as translator and later as HR Specialist in U.S. State Department. Now working part-time in nearby Real Estate Company (PROMAX Management, Inc.).
Holder of various certificates; Arts, Writer's Digest course, Desktop Publishing course, and Web Page Designer course mostly obtained from reputable Correspondence Schools.
